Calibrated CrossFit – Frequently Asked Questions
At Calibrated, CrossFit is our methodology — coaching is our differentiator. Every session is delivered through our three-track system — Foundation, Performance, and Sport — so athletes can follow a clear training path based on their goals, comfort level, and interests.
You’ll train with barbells, kettlebells, dumbbells, bodyweight movements, and conditioning tools, along with a wide range of specialty equipment like sleds, sandbags, and resistance bands — not for novelty, but to build real-world strength, movement quality, and long-term resilience.
What truly sets us apart is our focus on how you move, not just what you lift. We prioritize technique, progressions, and coaching feedback over chasing numbers or reps. That approach helps beginners build confidence, supports experienced athletes in refining performance, and allows everyone to train smarter, safer, and more sustainably over time.
Our members don’t just follow workouts — they follow a training system built around progress, community, and long-term success.
Yes — and that’s exactly why our training is built around a three-track system: Foundation, Performance, and Sport. Instead of a one-size-fits-all approach, you follow the path that matches your goals, comfort level, and interests.
At Calibrated, CrossFit is the methodology, but coaching and structure are what make it accessible. Our coaches guide movement quality, adjust loading and skill complexity, and help you train with confidence from day one — whether you’re stepping into structured training for the first time or refining long-term performance.
Our community includes beginners, parents, professionals, and competitive athletes — all training together in a supportive, coach-led environment focused on strength, conditioning, and lifelong progress.
Yes. Join us for a free, coach-led class to experience our training environment, meet the coaching team, and explore which track fits your goals best.
Our OnRamp sessions are an optional, guided introduction to Calibrated’s training system — designed to help you move with confidence, understand our coaching approach, and settle into training at your own pace.
Rather than a requirement, OnRamp serves as a personal assessment and coaching touchpoint. In your first session, we focus on foundational movement — squatting, pressing, and hinging mechanics. In the second session, we build on those fundamentals and introduce barbell movements and class flow.
Some members choose to start with OnRamp before joining group training. Others jump straight into classes and use OnRamp later for a refresher or extra one-on-one coaching. Both paths are valid.
No matter how you begin, you’ll train within our three-track system — Foundation, Performance, and Sport — so your training is always aligned with your goals, comfort level, and long-term direction.
A typical session is a 60-minute, coach-led group training experience built around our three-track system — Foundation, Performance, and Sport. While everyone trains together, you’ll follow the track that best matches your goals and comfort level that day.
Here’s how a class flows:
- Training Brief & Overview — We gather at the board as your coach explains the day’s focus, movements, and how each track will approach the session. You’ll get clear options for loading, volume, and skill complexity.
- Guided Warm-Up — A structured warm-up designed to prepare your body for the specific movements and intensity of the session.
- Strength or Skill Focus — Targeted work to develop technique, positions, and strength related to the day’s training theme.
- Conditioning Session — The main training piece, where the class works through the workout together while coaches provide real-time feedback and adjustments.
- Wrap-Up & Recovery — Scores, notes, fist bumps, and mobility work to help you transition back into your day and track your progress.
We’re happy to help. Reach out anytime and a coach will connect with you to talk through your goals, explain our training tracks, and help you decide the next step.
